A Yodeler singin in Salzburg, Austria

Is yodeling making a comeback? We're happy to announce that indeed it is.  "Happy" you say? Yes, that's what we said. Grab your Aplhorn and your Lederhosen and meet us in the Riverfront Park Amphitheatre at 3 pm on Saturday, October 24th for a yodeling competition Cocoa Village has never seen the likes of before. And, in case you think yodeling is only for goat herders high atop the mountain ranges, here's a little info we're sure you didn't know...

 

Along with the traditional form of yodeling high atop the Alpine mountains (think Ricola Cough Drop commercials) that many of today's contemporary artists use yodeling in their music?  Some world famous yodelers you might recognize are Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Celine Dion and Doloris O'Riordan from the Cranberries.
